Here's the thing...
I go by Sam, and my day job is as a stay at home mom.
I'm a little awkward and can't tell a funny joke to save my life, but I love people and movement and think that beauty is everywhere.

Your life is a work of art.

I started practicing yoga the day I walked into my first
teacher training, at the age of 18.
I had fibbed on the application, and thought

"how difficult could some yoga poses be?"

To say I got lucky would be an understatement.
My yoga practice has steadily woven its way into every
aspect of my life. I could have never imagined in my angsty late teen years that, what started out as 26 static poses, would turn into a way of living.

In the last 12 years I have participated in
five certification programs:
500 Hour Hot Hatha
200 Hour Anusara-based Vinyasa
100 Hour Level 1 Universal Yoga
SUP (Standup Paddle Board) Yoga
Aerial Yoga
Along with attending workshops and classes, I have a
regular home practice that includes movement and mindfulness.
In the past couple of years I have shifted the spotlight of
my personal practice to meditation and the art of finding ease in the day to day.

The real magic of yoga
happens when the breath,
body and mind are all
working together to reveal
space, ease and love.

My partner and I live in a rural township
between Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge with our
5 year old son. We have four dogs, chickens
and lots of room to roam.

Outside of the yoga studio you can find me listening to audiobooks, baking sweet treats, running, testing out my power tool skills, hiking, experimenting in the garden and daydreaming in the elusive Oregon sun.
